Sandwich Technology

At the we are constantly striving to provide new ways to make images

Using our 12'x10' high ultra reflecting backdrop screen, and a modified coaxial front projection system from Virtual Backgrounds you can produce amazing in-camera background/foreground sandwiches

Due to the long setup time we advise photographers to use our camera and lens already mounted in the system - camera is a Nikon D1x, lens is 24-85mm and storage is CF card

There are some rules for using the technology to ensure good images

Backgrounds are 35mm superslides (square format) and should be prepared especially for the application - short depth-of-field in the background is very effective

Particular attention should be paid to colour / white balance to ensure the background scene illumination can be reproduced on the subject

Avoid lights close to the camera lens axis

Avoid illuminating the highly reflective background screen with the subject lighting
