Constructed for the Cefn Mawr and District Coop in 1916 from Ruabon Red and Trevor glzed bricks the building was originally used as a bakery It employed local people until the 1950's when mass production signed it's uneconomic death warrant as a local bakery The building has been used for various industrial purposes until it was fully renovated in the last half of 2001 The inside and out were sand blasted to remove years of grime, paint and broken glaze 14 ton of sand was removed by Barry, Neil and Sam helped by Terry The inside was power jet washed down by Terry & Gwynedd A whole new roof has been fitted by Hertel (John, Richard & Nigel) and their scaffolders All the windows and doors (Premier Windows of Oswestry) have been replaced with double glazing. External building works carried out by Pete, John and their crew of Davy & ?.
